Tomasz Kaczyński is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland and a partner in the corporate department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta. He co-heads the Life Sciences practice.
Tomasz Kaczyński has nearly 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical law, from product registration, reimbursement issues, manufacturing and distribution, to advertising law and clinical trials regulation matters. His specialisation also includes franchising issues, food law (in particular regulations applicable to FSMP and dietary supplements), consumer protection law, as well as combating unfair competition.
Tomasz Kaczyński advises entities operating in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, device and food markets including manufacturers, wholesale distributors and pharmacy chains. He provides regulatory support for mergers and acquisitions and establishes distribution structures and e-commerce solutions in the regulated market.
He also advises on the regulation of the animal feed market and genetically modified food, and participates in inspection proceedings in the agri-food market. He has advised on public health issues of local administrative authorities, where he was responsible, inter alia, for restructuring public healthcare centres in the Mazowieckie voivodeship. He is the Chief Expert on Pharmaceutical Law of the Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University in 2004 and completed undergraduate (bachelor) studies in Finance and Banking at the Kozminski University in 2005. He qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2012.
The prestigious legal ranking publication Chambers & Partners has since 2015 ranked Tomasz as one of the best specialists in Poland for Life Sciences. According to recent reports: Tomasz handles a range of matters including litigation, as well as reimbursements and distributions. Market commentators say he is “open-minded, client-oriented, and always ready to take on new challenges and come up with innovative legal solutions. He also knows the pharmaceutical sector and the latest trends very well.”.
Another prestigious legal ranking, The Legal 500, has singled out Tomasz Kaczyński as a leading individual in Healthcare and Life Sciences as being noted for his expertise in product registration and reimbursement matters. In 2023, he was ranked among the top lawyers recommended in the field of pharmaceutical law by the local legal rankings of a leading Polish daily, Rzeczpospolita.
