Chambers Europe Awards 2024
At this year’s Chambers Europe Awards gala, our law firm was named “Poland Law Firm of the Year.”
The Chambers Europe Awards are organised by Chambers and Partners and honour the work of national and international law firms across Europe based on research conducted for the recent edition of the Chambers Europe Guide. They also reflect achievements over the past 12 months, particularly in terms of outstanding work and excellence in client service. The awards gala took place at The Westin Paris – Vendôme in Paris on 25 April 2024.
The Lawyer European Awards 2023
Our law firm has been recognised in this year’s edition of a competition aimed at acknowledging the best law firms in Europe organised by the editorial board of the UK periodical “The Lawyer”. We received the “Law Firm of the Year: Central Europe” award. We were also shortlisted as finalists in two other categories:
- European Law Firm of the Year
- European Managing Partner of the Year (Paweł Rymarz)
“The Lawyer” is the UK’s leading legal weekly and an information portal for business lawyers. The key criteria by which jury members assess law firms in this competition include the implementation of strategy, financial results, the quality of legal assistance provided and human resources management. The jury included general counsel of prominent corporations and representatives of leading UK law firms.
Chambers and Partners ranking
Both the practices and the lawyers of Rymarz Zdort Maruta are ranked at the top of Chambers and Partners’ rankings.
In the Chambers Global 2024 edition, we were among the highest ranked law firms in five areas of law:

Forbes’ “Best Law Firms List”
“Poland’s Best Law Firms 2023” is based on recommendations from lawyers working in law firms (peer-to-peer surveys) and business clients (e.g. in-house lawyers in corporate legal departments) in 25 different areas of law.

Mergermarket provides information, data and analyses, and presents a comprehensive and in-depth picture of global M&A transactions. For 2022, we were named the best Central and Eastern European law firm in M&A services “CEE Legal Adviser of the Year”.
ITR World Tax ranking
International Tax Review (ITR) is a global news and analysis service that provides leading business information in respect of all corporate tax issues. In 2022, our tax practice was ranked in Tier 4 in the General Corporate Tax category. Our tax advisors have also received individual accolades in specific tax areas.
The “Rzeczpospolita” ranking
The ranking of law firms organised by “Rzeczpospolita” is one of the most important events on the Polish legal market. Both quantitative and qualitative results are taken into consideration when compiling the results of the ranking. In this year’s ranking, Rymarz Zdort Maruta has been ranked first on the “Top of the Top” (in Polish: “Najlepsi z najlepszych”) classification of the law firms in Poland, and we received a total of 15 awards. We received the highest recommendations in six practice areas, and in four we were the runner-up. We also received an award for the transaction of the year, which was the acquisition of a majority stake in the Polish cardiovascular care company American Heart of Poland by the Italian company Gruppo San Donato, with its registered office in Milan. We are also pleased that we received the award for the law firm that handled the largest number of big-ticket transactions on the Polish market in 2023. In addition, we were recognised as one of the five largest law firms in Poland. We were recognised in the following ten areas:

“PSIK Awards” competition
The PSIK Awards are organised by the Polish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (PSIK) to recognise private equity and venture capital fund managers, advisors, banks and law firms for their achievements on the Polish PE/VC market. Candidates for the PSIK Awards are proposed by PSIK members, who form a panel of independent judges to decide on the selection of finalists. The winners of individual categories are decided by voting within the PSIK community.
Our law firm has been named the winner of the PSIK Awards in the category of Legal Advisor of the Year – Private Equity in 2023 and 2024.
