Katarzyna Łukaszewicz is an advocate admitted to practice in Poland, a partner in the corporate department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta and a member of the Financial Regulatory team.
Experience and education:
Katarzyna specialises in corporate law, M&A transactions, and financial sector regulatory issues. Her experience includes providing corporate and regulatory advice on the largest M&A transactions in the Polish banking sector, comprehensive advice on brokerage and banking business integration projects, and legal assistance to local and foreign entities, including participants of the financial market and in respect of mergers, demergers and asset acquisitions. Moreover, she provides legal assistance to financial institutions in connection with the regulatory aspects of their day-to-day business dealings in Poland, particularly in the area of banking and brokerage activities, as well as represents regulated entities in proceedings before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.
She graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2010. During her studies she twice won scholarships from the Foundation for Business Education and also won a John Paul II Scholarship four times. For six years she volunteered for the Academia Iuris Foundation, which provides free legal aid to those in need, and for several years she was the co-ordinator of one of the foundation’s centres in Warsaw.
