Magdalena Bodzioch is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland, counsel in the technology department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta and a member of the FinTech & ICT Regulations team.
A specialist in providing legal services to entities in the financial sector (including banks, insurance companies, payment institutions and lenders), she focuses on regulatory (e.g. PSD2, DORA, EBA and KNF guidelines), IT outsourcing, digital transformation, cloud service and consumer credit matters. She has extensive experience in supporting the implementation of innovative solutions that foster the development of modern services and business models.
She has over 20 years of professional experience gained at leading law firms, in the legal department of one of Poland’s largest banks, as well as at the European Commission and the European Central Bank. She conducts law training sessions and speaks at legal conferences. She is the author of legal articles and a co-author of commentaries on DORA and on the Polish Payment Services Act.
She graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University. In parallel, she completed a degree in Finance and Banking at Krakow University of Economics. She is also a graduate of the German Law School (run by the Jagiellonian University in cooperation with the Universities of Heidelberg and Mainz) and the Austrian Law School (organised in cooperation with the University of Vienna). She qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2011.
