Tomasz Kaczyński is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland and a partner in the corporate department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta. He co-heads the Life Sciences practice.
Experience and education:
Tomasz Kaczyński has nearly 20 years of experience in providing advice in connection with pharmaceutical law, which includes advising on product registration, reimbursement issues, manufacturing and distribution, advertising, and clinical trial regulation matters. His specialisation also includes franchising issues, food law (in particular, regulations applicable to FSMP and dietary supplements), consumer protection law, as well as combating unfair competition.
He advises entities operating in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, manufacturing and food sectors, including manufacturers, wholesale distributors and pharmacy chains. He provides regulatory support for mergers and acquisitions, and assists with the establishment of distribution structures and e-commerce solutions for regulated markets.
He also advises on the regulation of the animal feed market and genetically modified food, and participates in inspection proceedings in the agri-food market. He has advised on public health issues overseen by local administrative authorities, in respect of which he has been responsible, inter alia, for restructuring public healthcare centres in Mazowieckie Voivodeship.
He is the president of the “Polish Pharmaceutical Distribution” Employers’ Association, serves as chief expert on pharmaceutical law within the Health Forum of ZPP (Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers) and is a member of the Tripartite Team for Healthcare (at the Ministry of Health).
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2004 and completed undergraduate studies in Finance and Banking at Kozminski University in 2005. He qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2012.
