Aleksandra Modzelewska is an advocate, counsel in the technology department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta, and a member of the Video Games & Entertainment and IT Contracts practices.

Experience and education:

She specialises in IT law, intellectual property law, industrial property law, e-commerce, and the law relating to combatting unfair competition.

Aleksandra has extensive transactional experience. She has participated in the implementation of over a hundred IT projects for some of Poland’s largest companies, including complex implementation, and maintenance and development agreements carried out using both waterfall and agile methodologies. She provides legal support at every stage of the technology project life cycle, from contract negotiation and legal risk management to dispute resolution. She also advises on M&A and private equity transactions from the IP and IT law perspectives.

Aleksandra provides clients with comprehensive intellectual property protection, including strategic advice on trademark applications. She specialises in drafting intellectual property agreements to ensure the effective protection of her clients’ intangible assets. She is experienced in handling intellectual property disputes before authorities (UPRP – i.e. Urząd Patentowy Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej, EPO, EUIPO), courts, and in arbitration.

She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in 2017 and completed postgraduate studies in the field of New Technologies Law at Kozminski University in 2019. She qualified as an advocate in 2021.

In 2025, Aleksandra completed the “IT School for Lawyers” course through Kozminski University and was recognised in the IP Stars ranking as Rising Star, confirming her position as an expert in intellectual property law.
