Jakub Bogucki

Jakub Bogucki is a trainee advocate and an associate in the dispute resolution department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta.

Experience and education:

Jakub specialises in arbitration, civil and commercial disputes and commercial and company law. He has worked in teams conducting disputes before international arbitration institutes such as the Vienna International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), and the Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), as well as ad hoc arbitration under UNCITRAL Rules. He has experience in complex post-M&A (related to representations and warranties and final price settlement), construction, contractual and tort disputes. He also provides advice to clients in regard to pre-litigation stage and settlement negotiations. In addition, Jakub supports the litigation team in disputes related to violations of competition and regulatory law.

He graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in 2022. During his studies, Jakub was awarded the Rector’s Scholarship for students with outstanding achievements four times. Also, he was actively involved in student organisations, in particular, as the President of ELSA Poland (European Law Students’ Association) in the 2020-2021 term. In 2023 he completed the Columbia Summer Program in American Law organised in Amsterdam by Columbia Law School, University of Amsterdam and Leiden University.
