Maria Papis

Maria Papis is a trainee attorney-at-law, an associate in the corporate department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta and a member of the Life Sciences team.

Maria advises in fields of life sciences (pharmaceutical and cosmetics law), compliance (whistleblowing, anticorruption, AML/CFT, white-collar crime, liability of collective entities, risk mapping, ethics, internal regulations, forensic issues) and ESG (corporate sustainability reporting), with an emphasis on governance aspects. In particular, she is involved in projects in regulated sectors, such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics, chemical, food and energy. She has experience in applying legal design methodology to documents, making them easier for readers to understand.

Maria graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2023. During her studies, she was awarded the Rector’s Scholarship for students with outstanding achievements multiple times. She was also actively involved in student organisations, in particular as a member of the Student Council, the students’ representative on the Faculty Council and the chairwoman of the Student Scientific Organisation for Medical and Pharmaceutical Law. Prior to joining Rymarz Zdort Maruta, she worked for one of the largest Polish law firms and as well as in legal departments of two leading pharmaceutical companies.
