Wojciech Piszewski is an advocate licensed to practise in Poland and counsel in the the privacy & data protection department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta.
Experience and education:
Wojciech specialises in, among other areas, compliance, cybersecurity, data protection legislation and e-commerce. He also handles regulatory compliance and consumer law matters. He advises on projects related to the implementation and oversight of compliance measures. He is experienced in the area of compliance and investigative audits, as well as legal and regulatory risk analyses. He has managed numerous projects involving the analysis and enhancement of data protection processes and procedures, and the prevention of fraud and conflicts of interest. Wojciech cooperates with entities from a wide variety of economic sectors. He also has many years of experience as an in-house lawyer. He was responsible for the preparation, implementation and oversight of a full-scale compliance management system at one of the largest media groups in Poland.
Wojciech is also highly skilled in advising clients in the field of media and advertising. He has supervised a number of projects related to the implementation of the GDPR legal framework. His experience includes, inter alia, assessing the legality of business models related to the processing of personal data in advertising environments, in particular in the field of online advertising, as well as supporting clients in proceedings before the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (the Polish Data Protection Commissioner) and before administrative courts. Wojciech has authored many articles and is a speaker at industry training events.
