Dr Weronika Papucewicz, is an advocate admitted to practice in Poland, counsel at Rymarz Zdort Maruta, and a member of the Employment and Personal Taxation practice and the Environmental Law and ESG practice.

Experience and education:

Weronika has been advising clients on labour law for more than ten years. She is an expert in employment issues in Poland and also supports clients in cross-border processes involving transfers of workplace establishments

She specialises in areas such as individual and collective employment relations, personal data protection and labour law litigation. Weronika performs analyses of remuneration structures of key employees on behalf of clients. She supports employers in relation to employment restructuring processes, and the implementation of internal regulations and policies. Her expertise also includes advising on counteracting undesirable actions in organisations, including: mobbing, unequal treatment and discrimination. She develops the relevant procedures in these areas (including those concerning whistleblowers) and conducts investigations. Additionally, she supports clients in relation to non-financial reporting in the social (ESG) area. Weronika conducts training courses in labour law, in particular for multinational employers.

Her client portfolio includes companies from many sectors. She has cooperated with entities from the BPO and SSC sector and is also experienced in working for state-owned enterprises, among others, in employment restructuring processes and relations with trade unions.

She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2012 and completed a course in American law at the Center for American Law Studies co-organised by the University of Warsaw and the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She qualified as an advocate in 2017. Weronika completed her doctoral studies at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where she defended her doctorate in legal sciences in 2019. Weronika also completed postgraduate studies in human capital management at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Weronika is the author of numerous academic publications on labour law and a speaker at industry and academic conferences. She cooperates with the Polish Society of Anti-Discrimination Law. In 2014, she was among the winners of the “Rising Stars Lawyers – leaders of tomorrow” competition organised by Wolters Kluwer Polska.
