Piotr Szewczyk is an advocate admitted to practice in Poland and associate in the Privacy & Data Protection practice of Rymarz Zdort Maruta.
Experience and education:
He specialises in providing legal advice to Polish and foreign business entities in the areas of personal data protection, information security and new technology law.
His practice includes, in particular, ongoing GDPR advisory work, drafting, reviewing and negotiating data processing agreements, analysing the roles of data controllers and data processors, international data transfers, and preparing Transfer Impact Assessments (TIA). He also advises on structuring and implementing GDPR-compliant data processing models within international organisations and corporate groups.
Before joining Rymarz Zdort Maruta, he gained experience at Polish and international law firms as well as at the Chancellery of the Senate of the Republic of Poland. In the course of his career, he has represented financial institutions in civil and commercial proceedings and advised Polish and foreign business entities on obtaining public funding and grants for investment and R&D projects. In 2019, he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. In 2023, he was admitted to the bar (entered on the list of advocates).
